After getting through two chilly winters in Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jinlin Province, panda pair Jia Jia and Meng Meng have become well-adapted to the snow that falls this far north.

Their natural habitat in southwest China's Sichuan has an average temperature of 16 Degree Celsius. But these furry friends are highly adaptable. After they moved to Changchun in June 2015, they enjoyed their new life here with air-conditioning keeping the indoor temperature at around 10 to 15 Degree Celsius. Even though they could snuggle up indoors like we do through the winter, these playful creatures can't resist the joy of rolling in the snow.

All that playing takes a lot of energy, so they eat like champs. Bamboo is their favorite food, but the pair have also developed an interest in the local snack of "wotou", which is made with egg, corn, soy bean, rice, oat and vitamins.

Each panda can eat as much as 1,000 grams of wotou in a single day.
