GABORONE, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- An exhibition of musical instruments with Chinese brands, held in Gaborone, the capital of Botswana, attracted about 1,000 people.

The three-day exhibition, which ended Sunday, was hosted by Paradise Melody Instruments to introduce musical instruments from China.

Lynne Liu, general manager of Paradise Melody Instruments, told Xinhua on Saturday that she is optimistic the affordable instruments from China can help nurture Botswana's potential music talent.

"Most music instruments in Botswana come from neighbouring South Africa, and the prices are very high," Liu said, adding that many musicians in Botswana rely on second-hand equipment from overseas.

Liu said she wanted to introduce good Chinese instruments of competitive prices for music enthusiasts in Botswana.

Lynn Taylor, a music teacher in Gaborone, expressed the intention to cooperate with Paradise Melody Instruments due to its quality instruments and affordable prices.
