BEIJING, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) --China strengthened its medal campaign on Day 14 of the Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics as Wang Xindi won gold and teammate Li Tianma secured bronze in the men's freestyle skiing aerials on Friday.

Elsewhere in Livigno, the men's freestyle skiing halfpipe title went to American Alex Ferreira, who scored 93.75 points to finally secure Olympic gold after earning silver in PyeongChang and bronze in Beijing.

In Milan, South Korea dominated the women's 1,500 meters short track speed skating event, taking gold and silver in a tightly contested final. China's young skater Yang Jingru narrowly missed out on a podium finish, placing fourth.

The Netherlands maintained its traditional strength in speed skating. Antoinette Rijpma-de Jong clocked 1:54.09 to win the women's 1,500 meters, edging Norway's Ragne Wiklund by just 0.06 seconds. The victory marked Rijpma-de Jong's first Olympic gold medal in her fourth Winter Games.
